Florentine Stories, Foto of the Week

I can't help but to keep writing about the sunsets in Florence. It is truly the most beautiful and calming time of the day living here. There is so much hussle & bussle in this small town, but somehow it all goes silent during sunset. This weekend was no exception to some of the most glorious sunsets I have seen.

This photo was taken at dawn of the Jewish Synagogue:

Hi Christy,
I have been reading your blog and absolutely love it!
One of the most memorable thing about my stay in Florence last year was the sunset we saw from Piazzale Michelangelo.
It was the evening of my 30th birthday and I was there with my boyfriend and a lot of other tourist witnessing the beauty of the setting sun. To my astonishment the moment the sun disappeared behind the Tuscan hills, the whole piazzale erupted in applause, as if it was the most beautiful performance. And I just had to join in, it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced..
Hope to return to Florence very soon.
Andrea
