La Dolce Vita - Friends are family

The last few weeks have been jam packed with get togethers because one of our friends, who moved back to the US came to visit. It is always a good time when Valerie is around! She keeps all of us pretty darn busy. Our group of girlfriends from the United States, England, Scotland and Sweden are so lucky to have each other.

When you live abroad your friends become your family, the people who you rely on, cry with and confide in. We are blessed to have met and maintained these close relationships with each other. I know if one day I move away from Italy, I will still have these girls in my life.

That is the definition of the Sweet Life.

"Do you love Italy as much as I do? Join me in sharing with others about our passion for "La Dolce Vita"

The rules are simple : Every Monday, write about something you love about Italy, or your sweet life in general, then grab my icon and add it to your post.

La Dolce Vita

Most important, do not forget to link up here so everyone can read about your adventures with all things Italian, Grazie belle!

If it wasn't for this amazing group of people I probably would not have come back. I am thankful every day for all of you. :)

Hi Christy!
I can definitely relate to your post. Last year I went on a study abroad trip with students that I was unfamiliar with. I was so nervous but I made some invaluable friendships with some great girls from Vancouver.

PS I am writing about your blog for a post at The Pop Culture Divas. I hope it is okay if I use a photo of you. I will be including a link to your site as well.

Agreed, this is so true. The people we've met in Italy have all affected our lives in indescribable ways! I missed La Dolce Vita this week, but I'll be all over it next week :-)
