La Dolce Vita - Sant'Ambrogio

Since moving to Italy, I have a greater appreciation for fresh foods. I have always battled stomach issues, but after moving to Florence they have virtually disappeared. I attribute this to the quality of the foods that I am eating, going to markets and cooking at home.

It is SO FUN spending time at Sant'Ambrogio market selecting piece by piece my fruits, vegetables, fresh pasta and produce. This weekend I wanted to try making pumpkin soup because I saw all these strange looking pumpkins at the market. I really look forward to coming here,  which is a refreshing feeling after years of dreading going to the grocery store.

I am getting hungry right now while writing this. Delicious!

Yummy!! I have to agree with you, the food in Italy doesn't even compare to the food in the U.S. The fruits look amazingly delicious in your photo. And yes, you too are making my hungry :) hugs

Market trips are always one of the highlights of my week. I love the fresh markets here in Italy! This photo is beautiful, too. :-)
