La Dolce Vita - Cena di Natale in America

What is Italy famous for besides the art & wine? Food! So by no surprise, I have come to acquire and respect this part of the Italian culture. Every year for Christmas, my Mom prepares a grand meal for my family. Normally, she slaves away alone in the kitchen since none of us knew, or had the desire to cook. This year, since I have learned to appreciate the art of cooking, we pulled out our Italian cookbooks together and made a delicious meal for our family to enjoy for Natale.

Insalata : Avocado Caprese
Ingredients: Avocado, Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Basilico, Olive Oil
 Contorni : Potate al forno
Ingredients: Potatoes, Basilico, Sage, Rosemary, Garlic, Olive Oil
Main dish : Filetto di Manzo con Red Wine Reduction
Sauce: Red wine, carrots, onions, bay leaves, Sage, Rosemary
Beef Tenderloin & Olive Oil

Recipes Taken from Made in Italy

Mom made the beautiful dining room table setting from a collection of mercury glass treasures.
